The first edition of Rues Ciné Art: The Marina Experience concluded successfully after transforming Limassol Marina’s Slipway into Cyprus’ newest open-air cinema destination from 12–14 June.

Over three evenings, hundreds of visitors gathered by the waterfront to experience six carefully curated outdoor film screenings, creating a unique cinematic atmosphere where film, art and community came together under the stars.

The success of the first edition demonstrates the potential of innovative cultural initiatives that activate public spaces while making cinema and the arts accessible to wider audiences.

From beloved family favourites to timeless classics, each screening attracted audiences of all ages, reaffirming the growing demand for premium outdoor cultural experiences in Cyprus. Comfortable lounge seating, food and beverage experiences, live music and the marina setting created an immersive festival atmosphere that extended well beyond the films themselves.

Beyond the cinema programme, visitors enjoyed a vibrant programme of creative activities, including outdoor art exhibitions, live artistic interventions and hands-on workshops for children and families featuring pottery, painting, graffiti and sensory art. Throughout the three-day festival, Limassol Marina became a lively meeting point where creativity, entertainment and community engagement coexisted in a welcoming environment.
